Performance Coaching

Coaching Objectives:
To identify opportunities for improvement in the management style, interpersonal skills and behaviors of leaders and senior managers to enable them to manage and work more effectively with colleagues at every level.

Approach to Coaching:
The starting point is a thorough analysis of the management and leadership skills of the coachee. Successful coaching is based on a sound knowledge of the organization, together with insights from direct reports, manager and even customers of the coachee. The 360° review and behavioral testing provide essential objective input for determining needs to be addressed.
Following the initial “homework,” commencement of work with the coachee means:

  • Understanding the operating responsibilities of the executive and the dynamics of his/her role in relation to direct reports and peers;
  • Systematically developing the coaching plan, with focus on the desired outcomes;
  • Ongoing progress reporting, requiring thoughtfulness and commitment on the part of the coachee.

The ongoing work means case studies and role plays which reflect the situations typically and actually encountered by the coachee. The curriculum includes fundamentals of effective coaching plus managing relationships with emotional intelligence.
 

Coaching Clients:
Coaching clients include public companies, not-for profit organizations and a spread of industry and service organizations.
