What is the Purpose of AME (Accounting Made Easy)?
Most employees, and even senior executives, find difficulty understanding financial statements. The purpose of the AME™ workshop is to teach the fundamentals of accounting and finance to poeple to make decisions based on a true understanding of what the numbers mean.

The program utilizes color-coded money boards in an interactive, fun, way that is non-intimidating. While the program works like a board game, this only facilitates a serious focus on accounting and business transactions.

Objectives of the Program:

• To simplify seemingly complex processes through the learning experience of recording transactions. This helps in understanding accounting transactions and the effect of business transactions on the balance sheet and profit & loss account.
• To facilitate learning in an environment where the numbers are not threatening and with high retention through reinforcement.
• To facilitate the communication of financial concepts in a uniform and consistent manner throughout the organization.

By the end of a day, participants will be able to complete their set of financial statements. What’s more, they will even enjoy doing it!

How the program works:

• Participants work in pairs or three’s, since interactive, collaborative learning is a powerful way of transferring information.
• The program commences with personal transactions as individuals relate to their personal income, expenses, assets and liabilities.
• Using artificial paper money to experience the transactions, participants work through one step at a time, linking all the components in a logical sequence.
• After obtaining a basic understanding, participants “invest in a business!”
• The second part of the program focuses on financial analysis, customized to develop an understanding of each company’s critical financial drivers.
